Exciting Museum Expansion Plans in Collaboration with the City of Millington

We are thrilled to announce that the museum is actively working with the City of Millington, the fastest-growing city in Shelby County and the greater Memphis metro area, to find the perfect site for our relocation.  As our museum continues to grow, so does our collection, and with it, our commitment to sharing these stories with the community in a more meaningful way.

The planned relocation and expansion will not only to accommodate our ever-growing collection but also to make the museum more accessible to all visitors.  Our vision is to create a space that serves as more than just an exhibit—one that becomes a central hub for the community.  A place where history is shared, memories are made, and we can honor the sacrifices of those who served in our armed forces.

This larger, more accessible space will allow us to properly showcase the treasures in our collection and tell the stories that truly matter. We are excited for what’s to come and look forward to partnering with local organizations to bring our vision to life.

A Space for Our Veterans and the Community

The new location will enable us to create a more immersive experience for visitors while offering the space to host meaningful community events that honor and support our local veterans.  From educational programs to veteran-focused events, the expanded museum will provide opportunities to collaborate with organizations dedicated to veterans’ well-being and recognition.

Furthermore, we are committed to improving the museum’s accessibility, ensuring that everyone, regardless of mobility challenges, can fully experience the exhibits and events.  This relocation will help us create a more inclusive environment, making the museum a welcoming space for all members of our community.
